Responsible for various levels of the hardware project life cycle – starting from requirements documentation, to top level system designs, to component design, fabrication and test, to component and system integration, to overall test, to user support. Primary focus of this position is the design,/fabrication/integration of numerous types of hardware in simulator and lab environments.
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering is required. Bachelors Degree w/2–5+ years experience in Electrical Engineering is preferred. Master’s degree w/0–2+ years experience is desirable. Some background in Computer/Software Engineering is desirable but not required.
Application skills required are high level of experience with drawing packages, prefereably Canvas and Visio. Desirable skills include 3D modeling such as Autodesk Inventor. Strong written and oral skills are required. PC skills and the ability to accommodate changing priorities on a daily basis are a must. The candidate will be involved in a variety of simulation projects and not just one project for a long period of time – our facility and our projects are very diverse.
Knowledge of the following I/O interfaces is desirable: Mil-Std-1553, ARINC-429, Synchro, Resolver, Ethernet, 1394B, PCI, and VMEbus interfaces including an assortment of analog and discrete boards.
